For over two decades, Bruce and Chris have devoted a significant portion of their practice to pro bono work on behalf of the less fortunate. They have represented individuals in cases as diverse as identity theft, international child abduction, special educational needs, prisoner rights, juvenile rights, cultural preservation, asylum, and a host of other causes. In recognition of his work in this area, the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey honored Chris with its 2009 Legal Leadership Award.

Bruce and Chris also serve the legal community as members of state and local bar organizations. In 2009 and again in 2012, Bruce was appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to serve on the New Jersey Disciplinary Review Board, which oversees the state-wide administration of the Rules of Professional Conduct, attorney disciplinary proceedings, fee disputes, and related legal ethics issues. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. Chris serves as a member of the Class Actions Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
